What in the World? is the eighth episode of The Challenge: World Championship.

Description[]

The competitors must deal with an unexpected turn of events that completely changes the course of the game. The competitors bet on a win at the "Ripcord Roulette" trivia challenge. A dama ged alliance struggles to maintain power.

Challenge[]

Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Challenge: Ripcord Roulette
Played in three heats, teams will be suspended on an apparatus off the side of a tall building. There are five ripcords in front of them. They will be asked a series of trivia questions, and if they get the question wrong, they will have to pull one of the ripcords. If they choose the right cord, they will be dropped down. If they get the question right, they choose another team to pull a ripcord. There will be a winners' heat and a losers' heat. The losing team of the losers' heat will be sent straight to the Arena, while the winners of the winners' heat will win the challenge.^[1]

Arena: Spin Me Round
One partner will be strapped to a rotating platform, while their partner spins them around to see an answer key over a wall. They will communicate to the pattern to their partner to recreate. The first team to correctly replicate their key wins.

↑ Ben was medically disqualified prior to the "Ripcord Roulette" challenge due to illness. Kaycee was originally disqualified, but after learning she was pregnant, Amber decided to leave in her place so that Kaycee and Troy can continue. As a result, Kaycee & Troy became a team.
