The Challenge: Ultimatum

Format[]

Filming Location: Hobart, Australia

This season throws 36 challengers into a snowy adventure consisting of some legacy veterans and showstopper rookies.

Ultimatum features rounds that consist of two 90 minute episodes with daily missions, voting segments, and eliminations each.

Daily Challenge: Each episode will open with a daily mission that will resemble the format the game is in. The winner will be safe from nomination but could still possibly be in trouble with the season's "ultimatum".
Nominations: Each round the contestants will vote in others into the elimination round. Whoever is voted in will have to face "The Ultimatum" to determine who competes against them.
- Solo Game: In the solo game, the safe players will vote at the elimination if the option is selected with "The Ultimatum".
- Pair/Team Game: Everyone will vote between the losing pair(s)/team to compete in the elimination. Winning couple vote counts as twice.
The Ultimatum: This season revolves around the twist of having ultimatums at every end of the game. There will be ultimatums in how contestants compete in the main challenge. Ultimatums in the voting progress and also an ultimatum in who competes in the elimination.
Eliminations (The Cove): The Cove is where the eliminations will be held.

Twists[]

The Ultimatum: Different variations of options that a player can choose when presented at random points in the game.
- Opening Ultimatum: This season, all 36 contestants were dropped off on the side of the road. They received a video transmission from host Neme81 that their is a house (or houses) waiting for them and they have to complete a challenge to find it. In the middle of the challenge they will come across their first ultimatum to either go one direction or another. This decision will lead them into two separate houses that will be playing two separate games.
  - House #1: This house is for the contestants that will be playing the game individually.
  - House #2: This house is for the contestants that will be playing the game in pairs.
- Elimination Ultimatum: Every elimination, the voted in player(s) will have to decide how the elimination will go.
  - Pairs Game Elimination: The pairs facing elimination will have to unanimously decide between 5 different skill sets they want to compete in. Those skills being: Strategy, Trivia, Physical, Puzzle, or Endurance. Once a skill was chosen it can not be chosen again.
  - Solo Game Elimination: The last-placers in the daily mission will have the ultimatum in going against the winner of the daily mission, the voted-in member (that has not been revealed yet) or the pair that was eliminated in the pairs game elimination. They must make a joint-decision.
    - Resurrection Clause: If the player that was previously playing as a pair wins their elimination they will be back in the competition and compete with the solo group for the rest of the phase.
  - Team Game Elimination: The player voted in will be given different choices per round between calling out someone whether they be on the same or opposite team, a golden ball holder, or the opposite sex.
- The Golden Ball: This season in order to run in the finals, a player must obtain a golden ball. Only the winners of the elimination will be blessed with a golden ball. There are only 4 golden balls available in the game. When someone wins an elimination they must steal a golden ball from someone already possessing one and either give it to themselves or someone else. A special purge will be held before the finale for those not in possession of a golden ball.
Game Shift: After the first five rounds of the game, the format will shift over into a team game. The teams will be selected by two random contestants (one from each house) that will pick equal teams consisting of equal members from both games. Each team will also have two Golden Ball Holders who will nominate two members of the same gender from each team before the daily mission. The winning team will win the right to vote and their nominees will be safe from the vote. The Golden Ball Holders are allowed to vote if they are on the losing team. The player with the most votes will be voted in.

The finals will consist of 6 contestants racing for the shared prize of $800,000.

Episode One: The Path Is Yours[]

Description: This srason sparks a chaotic start as 36 challengers are dropped off in the snowy woods and face a $800,00 game decision on day one.

Opening Ceremony: All 36 challengers are dropped off at a station in Hobart, Australia. Amongst them are 6 brand new rookies and 10 legendary veterans making their return to the game. Host Neme81 shortly arrived and welcomed the cast to a brand new season of the challenge dubbed "The Challenge: Ultimatum". No further clues were given onto the reason behind the seasons title but that they will soon find out before the sun sets. Host Neme81 announces that this season will see two winners - one male and one female - as opposed to previous seasons. He also revealed that the cash prize will be $800,000 to split amongst all finalists. To end the opening ceremony, Neme81 informs the group that an opening challenge will be played to start the game off to a right start.

Daily Mission:

Pick Your Path: All 36 contestants will be tasked to locate the lodge that they will be staying in this season. Everyone is blindfolded and will start the challenge in different locations in the woods with the same amount of distance to travel. Around the woods lie clues in the form of arrows or puzzles that will direct the contestants to the right route. Midway through the challenge, they will come across a sign in which they will have to make a important decision. Whichever decision they make will lead them to the house they seek but it will ultimately change their game. Unbeknownst to them, there are two houses and each house will conduct a different format style in which the game will be played. Only 9 Men & Women can choose each path. The first individual to make it to their respective house will win $10,000 and earn immunity for the first round of the game.

After Results:

Path One: This path leads to a shuttle that took the players to a cabin that is dubbed the "Solo House". Just like it's name the players competing in this house will be playing the game solely for themselves and no one else. Their safety lies in their own hands. The group proceeded to have their opening celebration.

Path Two: This path leads to a shuttle that took the players to a cabin that is dubbed the "Paired House". This house indicates that for now the players in this house will be paired up and hove to rely on their partner for their safety. This house also gives an edge to it's competitors as if they are eliminated they will be given the chance to potentially "resurrect" their game. Upon arriving at the house, host Neme81 is there waiting for them. Congratulating Austin on being the first person to reach the end of the path and earning safety. He informed everyone that based on placement there will be a draft for their partners than and there. Austin is instructed that he will not participate in the draw but be paired with who remains. That person will ultimately be safe along with Austin. After the draw, the group proceeded to have their opening celebration.

Episode Two: Two Lifelines in a Pod[]

Description: The newly formed pairs test their team foundation in their very first challenge where the ultimatum puts them in a predicament situation.

Paired House: New found relationships form over in the paired house as certain duos hold different connections to other players based on past seasons. Tai & Bayleigh being the only legacy vet-legacy vet team do their best to align with Katrina, Amanda, Katrina, & Melissa and their partners. Eyes are on Jakk & Avery as the "rookiest" team match up. Also coming off back to back championships Sammie hopes to lay back and let other elements in the house take place and not put a target on her & Austin.

Solo House: A quick glance over to the Solo House, see the group bonding and starting their house dynamics. To a surprising shock the popular belle at the ball is Tony with Ravyn, Tolu, & Carmen taking an interest in him. On the other hand Curtis & Luke reunited begin to lay out a plan to set themselves up with eyes on Maria and Deeps as their "plus ones".

Daily Mission:

Sync or Swim: Teams start inside of a large container filled with 1,000 pounds of sand that is hanging from a platform. When players from each team begin shoveling out the sand, their container rises to a platform, where each player then has to jump to a zip line and ride it to the water, where the team that swims fastest to the finish line wins. A team is disqualified is any player pulls the zip line toward them at the top of the platform instead of jumping from the platform toward the zip line. The slowest pair will face elimination at The Cove.

The Ultimatum
There is a Buoy at the opposite end of the finish line. This buoy will give immunity to the fastest team that touches it and finishes the challenge besides the challenge winner. Both team members must touch the buoy.

Host Neme81, joins the group to host the nomination ceremony, The last-place couple will join him and start the voting followed by the winning couple's vote that counts twice. Everyone else will vote afterwards. This all happening face to face.

The Cove

The pair that came last place in the elimination faces the pair that was voted into elimination. Before they compete however, they must agree together on the Ultimatum of which skill the elimination should be based on.

Wheel of Death: One team member will be strapped to a spinning wheel giving directions to their partner, who is blindfolded, on a puzzle board. The goal is to properly place the matching symbols of a puzzle key onto the board in the correct order. If one of the symbols is not right-side up, it will not be counted. The first team to match all the symbols correctly wins.

Golden Ball Twist:

After the elimination it was revealed that this season features a finale twist in which the only way to make the finals is to possess a golden ball. The winning pair of the elimination will earn the power to steal or transfer the golden ball to another pair from the pair that has possession of it. The winners of the recent golden ball will be the first recipients of it. There are only two golden balls in the paired house for the winning pair and two for the Solo House.

Episode Three: Cryptic Memories[]

Description: Previous relationships come back to haunt certain players. Alliances form in the middle of the night that are not so secret.

Solo House: Mike & Deeps have a tainted relationship due to the last season they competed together in that did not end on the best note. He tries to reconcile with her but she isn't too sure if she trusts him completely. Curtis & Luke try to hold a alliance recruitment meeting in one of the rooms with Tony, Carmen, Maria, & Deeps. Unfortunately, they didn't realize that Dean was in the room the entire time. He immediately relayed the conversation to Chuck & Cory.

Paired House: A quick glance over to the Paired House, shows Marley & Alyssa L. enter Limbo and learn more about the Ultimatum twist. Also seeing reactions of losing Marley & Alyssa L.

Daily Mission:

All Brawl: Played in three phases, each phase requires players to enter a mud-pit and obtain an X-shaped relic. The winners of each phase advance to the next phase. The players that wins the third phase wins.

In Phase One, eight players of the same gender enter the pit and must find a relic in the mud, escape the pit and cross the finish line with the relic to advance. The person eliminated will go straight into elimination.
In Phase Two, the heat winners of the same gender from Phase One must wrestle the relic away from their opponent and bring the relic out of the mud-pit to advance. This will be formatted in a match-up. Four people will be eliminated in this phase.
In Phase Three, the winners from Phase Two must wrestle the relic out of their opponent's hands and cross the finish line. The first player to beat the others and cross the finish line will win.

Nomination Ceremony

Host Neme81, joins the group to host the nomination ceremony, The last-place players will join him and before any voting begins he will ask the group if they want to accept The Ultimatum. Then he informs everyone that the Last-Place players will have to face an Ultimatum of their own and that the results will affect the elimination. The vote will take place at the cove.

If you would like to vote for two different people, ring the bell. However, in doing so you will be nominating yourself for the chance to be voted in. At least four of your gender must ring the bell for the advantage be activate. If you ring the bell and it's not activated you will not be eligible to vote.

Episode Four: Get In Line[]

Description: Some pairs get targets on their back when hit lists get exposed before a challenge that leaves the pairs hanging for their lives.

Solo House: Episode opens with the Solo House contestants coming back to their house after the elimination of Chuck & Analyse. Open discussions were had between Cory and Curtis & Luke about the alliances they're trying to pull. Arabella was confused how she became a target to which the excuse of being "too rookie" was used. Paired House: With Marley & Alyssa L. not being selected to compete in the Solo's elimination they were sent home and their picture was officially blacked out in the Paired House. The following morning, Avery makes a move on forming better connections with the vet women Sammie specifically. Coming off their rookie season, Myles does feel like he is an easy target besides Avery. Feeling like a sitting duck, Xavier works on building connections with Austin, Myles, & Tai. Soon Katrina alerts everyone that they received a letter:

Daily Mission:

Approaching the Daily, the results of the "True Feelings" task is revealed via a giant board that details all the votes the pairs made in secret.

On The Ringer: Pairs will be competing in heats against the Most & Least threatening pair they voted for. The female partner will be harnessed and leveled on a structure above water being held solely by their male partner. On one end of the structure lies rings that they try and swing to grab while on the other side of the structure is a pole. Players must try to land 5 rings on the pole. The goal is to beat both the most & least threatening pairs. Doing so would give the pair 10 points. If the most threatening pair beats them they'll only get 3 points. If the least threatening pair beats them they'll only get 7 points. If both pairs beat them they'll get 0 points. The team that has the most points and accumulated them in the fastest time wins. While the team that has the least points in the slowest time will go into the cove.

Milk and Cookies: One team member would stand on a perch, both arms above their head with their wrists tethered to a bucket of Australian milk. The other team member would be eating cookies and Australian milk. If the player on the perch falls off, their partner must stop eating cookies. If both team members eating finish their cookies and milk, then the elimination comes down to the perched players in a battle of endurance. The first team to either eat the most cookies or stand on the perch the longest, wins.

Episode Five: Whose Side You On?[]

Description: With everyone knowing the strategy behind Curtis & Luke's actions, the question remains which side is the right side to fight for?

Paired House: Tori & Logan enter Limbo and hopes for the chance to return to the game. Cassidy is happy that the golden ball was stolen because she believes it allows for her and Javonny to float back into the shadows. After a drunk night out Melissa & Avery get closer along with Austin & Katrina.

Solo House: Episode for the solo house picks up after the aftermath of Cory vs. Curtis & Luke. Everyone ventures out to a evening outing for drinks and a good time. Strategy talk continues through the night. As of right now it looks like sides are forming which people are dubbing "Brits vs. Vets". As of right now, here's where everyone stands.

Dark Tide: Played in two heats for each gender, four players at a time begin strapped to a speeding boat and are dropped into the water once the boat reaches a certain point. Players must swim to a paddleboard and paddle to collect three floating rings and return them to shore. Once onshore, players must then throw one of their rings around a pole from behind a line. The players with the fastest time per gender wins while the players with the slowest time will be sent to the Cove.

Episode Six: Time Will Tell All[]

Description: Alliances & allegiances began to blur as pairs become closer and agreeing on targets become harder.

Solo House: The aftermath of Luke & Ravyn's elimination leaves an open wound on the sides of the house. Those not aligned to either side began to make their rounds to fill the spots left vacant.

Paired House: Tori & Logan officially leave limbo and are sent home. The final 7 pairs try to work out the numbers of different possibilities depending on the outcome of who wins the challenge.

Daily Challenge:

Peaking Blinders: Teams race down a path to a pattern covered by blinds. There, one team member balances one-footed on a narrow pole to open the blinds and reveal the pattern for their partner to memorize. After the team member balancing falls off, teams must return to their board at the start and attempt to replicate their pattern, repeating this process until they correctly recreate the entire pattern. The first team to finish wins. Last team to finish will be sent to The Cove.

Episode Seven: Moving Targets[]

Description: Players find themselves in sticky predicaments at the next daily challenge. With a power shift available the game is bound to shake up.

Paired House: Tai & Bayleigh enter Limbo and await for their chance to enter the game. Cassidy & Javonny are confused by Katrina & Myles decision to give away the golden ball. Katrina explains that it's been hinted at that having the golden ball will affect the holders game. She would rather not have an extra target on their back than what they already have.

Solo House: Following Luke's elimination, Curtis makes his rounds to secure enough numbers on his side working on his relationship with Kordell and Leo. Tony & Carmen have gotten closer romantically along with Leo & Nicole. The day of the daily mission Tolu received a message for the group.

The Ultimatum
If you feel safe with the opposite gender take a sip from the crimson cup. If you feel safer with your gender than drink from the golden cup.

Daily Mission:

Honey Pot: Played in gender heats, players must wrestle one another in the mud to find a golden nugget. There will be one less golden nugget than players wrestling. The person to not grab a nugget will be eliminated. Then players will partake in an endurance challenge tying to balance a ball on makeshift rods. The first player to drop will be eliminated. The endurance round will continue till one person remains. The round will then reset with the remaining players. When the endurance round comes again, if the previous winner remains they will have one less rod to balance with. This challenge will end in a final two endurance challenge with the last male and female standing winning. The first male and female eliminated in the first round will head into The Cove.
