The Challenge All Stars: Rivals

The Challenge All Stars: Rivals is the fifth installment in the All Stars series. This season features 13 pairs of rivals competing against each other for a share of the prize. Production took place between May and July 2024. It's the first All Stars season to air on MTV.

Description[]

On the heels of the legendary 40th season of The Challenge, the hit reality competition franchise brings its fan-favorite rivals twist to The Challenge All Stars. In a series first, the new season pairs up memorable power players and redemption seekers with their biggest rivals. The Challenge All Stars: Rivals will premiere Wednesday, January 29 at 8PM ET/PT on MTV.

Format[]

Teams will compete in several challenges followed by an elimination round known as "The Jungle." The winners of the challenge will be safe from elimination, and their Star will be exempt from being stolen if they possess one. The rest of the house will then vote in one team into the Arena. In the Jungle, the winners will choose the team that will go against the house's nominee. Winners without a Star also have the opportunity to volunteer for elimination.

The final prize splits as follows:

Champions: $250,000
Runners-up: $35,000
Third Place: $10,000
Fourth Place: $5,000

Twists[]

Stars: Pairs must hold a Star in order to qualify for the Final Challenge. The Opening Challenge determined which four teams will be the initial Star Holders. Teams can steal a Star by winning an elimination. When two teams of Star Holders face off in elimination, the losing team's Star would be up for grabs at the next challenge.
Share or Steal: The members of the winning pair would each be taken aside by TJ and privately asked if they think their partner would share or steal the prize money. If their answers match, they would share the money. If their answers don't match, they would face off in a head to head challenge to determine who steals the money.

Final Challenge Scoreboard[]

Similar to previous All Stars seasons, the Final Challenge was played in various checkpoints where teams will compete for a series of points or "stars." The first team to complete the checkpoint will receive 4 stars, second place will receive 3 stars and so on. If a team does not complete a checkpoint, they will not receive any stars for the checkpoint. The pair of rivals with the most stars after all of the checkpoints wins.
