The Challenge: Fresh Meat II

Fresh Meat II is the 19th season of The Challenge. It premiered on March 31st, 2010 with a "Meet the Meat" special and concluded on June 9th, 2010 with the reunion special. It is the sequel to the 2006 season, Fresh Meat.

Description[]

Fresh Meat II pairs 13 brand new challengers with 13 veterans in one of the most dramatic Challenges to date. Strategy is key in Fresh Meat II, and alliances hold more value than friendships. But it's the old rivalry between Kenny and Wes that drives the competition...on and off the playing field...and only the most cunning will survive.

Format[]

Each team will compete in numerous challenges followed by eliminations rounds known as "The Exile". The winners will select one team to compete in the Exile, while the rest of the house will vote in their opponents. In the Exile, the two teams will compete in a race where the team that wins will stay in the game, while the loser goes home.

In the Final Challenge, four teams will compete. The prize money will be split as follows:

Winners: $200,000 ($100,000 each)
Runners-up: $60,000 ($30,000 each)
Third place: $40,000 ($20,000 each)
Fourth place: $0

Twists[]

Team Draft: Prior to meeting the alumni, the Fresh Meat will participate in an obstacle course, and their stats will be presented to the alumni. In a random order, the alumni will choose their Fresh Meat partner for the season.

Evelyn was brought in as a last-minute replacement, automatically making her Luke's Fresh Meat partner.

CJ & Sydney were selected for Exile, but did not have to compete, because the team that was chosen to face them — Katelynn & Brandon — was disqualified after Brandon consumed alcohol prior to the Exile. It had been implied, though, that Katelynn would have been physically incapable of competing after she suffered a severe knee injury during the "King of the Wall" challenge.
