The Beginning of the End is the 18th episode of The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion.
Description[]
The remaining seven contenders enter the final challenge, where they begin their journey to face the three levels of the game -- Control, Chaos and Conquest -- one last time.
Final Challenge[]
The seven finalists will once again go through all three levels of the game for the Final Challenge. In the end, only one will be crowned the winner of Battle for a New Champion and win $250,000. Second place was initially rewarded with $70,000, and third place was initially winning $36,000. Players will go through the "Control" and "Chaos" phase during Day 1.
Stage 1[]
Stage: Control Challenge
The contestants will be tethered together by a rope. Before they begin, they must each consume a bottle containing a mixture of tuna, mayonnaise, and beetroot. They will then race to a castle ruins where they must find 17 crates and collect the ropes inside. Players can unhook themselves from the team rope and race to the finish if they have at least three ropes. After collecting the ropes, they will race to the finish where they will place the ropes on their respective post to form a pattern. If they players were successful, the prize pot would stand as is. If they failed, they will lose $16,000 from the final prize.

The prize is now split as follows: First place gets $250,000, second place now gets $60,000, and third place will now receive $30,000.

The finalists will vote one player for an instant elimination round. The nominee will then call out another contestant to compete against.

Elimination: Control Elimination
Players will collect three bags with blocks inside. They will then stack the blocks on an unstable table that they can only hold steady with one leg under it. The first player to successfully stack all their blocks wins.

Stage 2[]
Stage: Chaos Challenge
Players will be randomly paired up with a different partner at each checkpoint. The player that completes this stage the fastest will choose another player to compete in an elimination.
Checkpoint 1
Pairs must untangle a rope from a spherical cage, bring the rope to the finish line, and roll the cage out from the ground and to the finish line.

Pairs will kayak around a buoy before returning to shore where they will use puzzle pieces to recreate a geometric shape.

Checkpoint 3
Pairs must answer a trivia question, swing a hanging chest with the correct answer on it against an overhead saw to release it, and transport the chest to a designated point. They then repeat this process for a second chest. If a pair answer incorrectly and saw an incorrect chest, they must take that chest, which is heavier, to the designated point instead.

Checkpoint 4
Players must consume three jalapeño shots, a lamb brain and eyeball soup, and a "stomach lining" surprise dish.

Checkpoint 5
Each team member must consume a drink made of tuna, beetroot, and mayonnaise. Teams must then unravel and release two hanging bags of balls from an overhead structure. Afterwards, each team member must hold up one side of a bumpy track, align the track, and roll a ball down the track to have it land in a box at the end.
