The Inferno II is the 10th season of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge. It premiered on March 7, 2005 and concluded with the "To Hell & Back: Hot Gossip from the Inferno II" special on June 27, 2005. It is the sequel to the 2004 season, The Inferno.
Description[]
Twenty Real World and Road Rules alumni arrive in exotic Manzanillo, Mexico for another round of The Inferno. The players are immediately split into two new teams, as determined by MTV.com voters: The Good Guys and the Bad Asses. As new friendships are formed and old rivalries are rekindled, the two teams learn they will face off in a series of 15 challenges, with a total of $300,000 up for grabs. BMX bad ass Dave Mirra hosts what promises to be an exciting, drama-filled Challenge.
This Inferno works slightly different than the last time around. The biggest difference; after the first challenge, each team will choose one player from the opposing team to go into the Inferno. The players' fates rest in the dishonest hands of their rivals, which is never a good thing. Will people for alliances with members of the other teams? Will the teams vote in the strongest players from the opposing team? Or will they go for the weakest? Once two people are voted into the Inferno, they will compete with their team in one more challenge. If they perform better than anyone else in this specific challenge, they will win the Life Shield which will give them the opportunity to be saved from the Inferno. The Inferno nominee who has been saved can then choose a new team member to throw into the Inferno blaze. The dreaded Inferno involves an extreme challenge that will send the winner back to his team and the loser packing.
