Las Vegas is this season's wild card, as Challenge veterans Trishelle and Alton of The Real World: Las Vegas pair with Back to Las Vegas's Nany and Dustin to form the only team combining two casts. While other teams deal with old grudges, Las Vegas's lack of history could work out in their favor. "A lot of other teams can't stand each other. We're starting fresh," Nany explains. Although Trishelle and Alton are the oldest competitors in the game, their confidence hasn't waned a bit. Trishelle's skills as a professional poker player will be valuable when it comes to game strategy, while Alton remains a physical threat in any challenge. He boasts, "I feel like I'm actually in the best shape of my life, ever. I feel like Alton 2.0." Rookie Nany hopes to prove herself as one of the game's fiercest female players and after being sidelined with a knee injury in Battle of the Exes, Dustin hopes not only to bring home a win, but to finally "put a ring on it" when it comes to former castmate Heather, confessing, "I live with the girl I love now and the only thing left to do is get the ring. This is a real love and I'm ready to make the commitment." Team Las Vegas has all the elements to be a major threat, but with four dynamic personalities involved, could this team's emotional highs and lows be their downfall?
Nany and Jonna used to be close until Jonna's former beau Zach tore them apart during Battle of the Seasons. Jonna explains, "I should have stood up for Nany, but instead I chose a guy over a friend and that's the number one rule you don't break." Now that Zach is out of the picture, these two will have to find a way to bury the hatchet if they want to take home the cash. Nany reveals, "Jonna has definitely realized she was wrong and now we have to come together and work as one if we really want to win." Nany is a strong, athletic presence in the game but her quick temper has been her undoing in the past, while Jonna's need for male attention fueled their rivalry in the first place. Although she claims to be solely focused on the game, Jonna could ruin Nany's plans when she cozies up to a hot new boy-toy.
Every time Nany arrives on The Challenge, she gives it her all. Unfortunately on Rivals II, and Battle of the Seasons, her all wasn't quite enough. Nany declares, "I have this thing called the "Challenge Curse," where I get eliminated right before finals. And I'm so sick of it. I just really, really, really want to get there this time and win." With nothing holding her back this time, Nany is more determined than ever to prove she is a top competitor. However, this fun-loving lady quickly finds love in the house, giving her an unexpected ally and confidant. Is Nany still doomed by her Challenge Curse? Or will being a Free Agent finally take her to the end?
Rumored to have hooked up outside of The Challenge, these undercover lovers managed to keep their rendezvous a secret - or so they thought. After a quick fling, the romance fizzled and this turbulent duo went their separate ways. Fresh off his win on Free Agents, Bananas vows to keep focus on the game, "We're just better as friends. I've dabbled in this spicy Latina dish once or twice and I realized it's too hot for me." Until now, these two have done a good job dancing around the past and keeping their distance. Nany reveals, "Bananas and I usually tried to stay as far away from each other as possible on past Challenges, so the fact that now we are glued together, I don't know how this is going to work out." However, when one of these vets has a change of heart and old feelings surface, the strength of their team will be put to the test. Will this power pair put their appetite to win above the desire of a lonely heart? Or will unrequited love derail their game?
Bold and brazen Nany is back and she is more fired up than ever. This time around, she's teaming up with her spitfire cousin, Nicole, to turn the heat up on the competition. No stranger to Challenge drama, Nany enters the race with her eyes on the prize and determined to keep things strictly business. However, this proves difficult when she finds herself surrounded by old flames with questionable intentions. Looking to her cousin for support, Nany explains, "In the past, it's been difficult to find people that I can actually trust. The fact that I have Nicole here with me, that's all I need." But Nany quickly realizes the tables have turned when Nicole proves to be a hell-raising handful and it is up to Nany to tone things down.
Calculating political mastermind Wes has always been on the opposite side of the battlefield from the explosive and emotional Nany. Wes explains, "We have programmed ourselves to work against each other. When we see each other, we still see enemies." Whether it was due to alliances or old romances, these two have never seen eye to eye! Nany worries about Wes's control freak nature, "Wes needs to understand that I'm not gonna just roll over. He thinks he's like the Godfather of the Challenge." Can these two longtime enemies bury the hatchet and move on from all of the past badmouthing? Don't count on it...
