High: The elder statesman of the group (along with Eric), Mark is a strong competitor, who's also always up for a good time. He's currently a host for the Fine Living Network.
Lows: Hosting the rainy Aqua Games in Seattle where the Real World Seattle cast and Road Rules Australia competed against each other.
Relationships: Recently divorced, Mark is a now a single-mingle. Watch out, gals! He's ready and willing! Let's make this thing happen.
The Duel II
A self-proclaimed television junkie, Mark has long been involved in The Challenge, participating in the very first, back in 1998, and he's been back several times since. He has also parlayed his stint in the world of MTV reality programming into a career on television, living in Los Angeles and hosting shows on the Game Show Network, Fine Living Network, E!, Fox Reality Network and others. But after about three years away from The Challenge, he's back for another stab. Will Mark's time away from the grueling, backstabbing competition make him vulnerable in New Zealand? Or will his entertainment career be the perfect training for success?
Battle of the Exes
Mark and Robin first met while on opposing teams during the Battle of the Sexes 2. Their relationship was short-lived, but the two maintained a steady friendship. Over the years, the former lovebirds have gone their separate ways, with Mark pursuing a TV hosting career and Robin proudly embracing single-motherhood and looking forward to "the opportunity to come to a Challenge and make money to better my life." When reunited as a team, Robin is thrilled at her still muscle-bound ex, who she touts as, "Balanced, calm, and an overall great athlete." But a disappointed Mark recalls his partner's horrible Challenge record, lamenting, "Getting Robin as a partner is like getting dealt a turd, and you can only shine and polish a turd so much." Will this veteran odd couple be able to overcome their different viewpoints and battle their way to Challenge victory?
Mark and Darrell Taylor share the record for being the oldest male contestants to compete on a Challenge season, having both been 40 during their latest Challenge appearances.
