Family Matters is the season finale of The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines.

Description

The competitors must endure a series of demanding checkpoints as they battle each other all day – and all night – for their share of the $350,000 prize. One pair is crowned champions of Battle of the Bloodlines.

Final Challenge

Location: Berlin, Germany
For the final challenge, teams will compete in a series of five timed stages that will take place throughout the city of Berlin. Upon completion of the final stage, team's times will be added up and the team with the fastest overall time will be declared the winners and split $250,000. Second place will win $75,000 and third place will win $25,000. Following completion of Stage 1 teams were required to dress up in suits and carry briefcases for the duration of the final challenge.

Stage 2

Stage: Job Detail
Teams must dine on a series of traditional German meals including blood soup, speck, and weisswurst. Every dish that a team does not consume will result in a five minute penalty added to the team's final time. Upon completing their dishes, teams must retrieve a token and board a train heading to their next stage.

Stage 3

Stage: Train Delay
Teams must stand all night in their designated spots while holding their briefcases. If a briefcase touches the ground, a time penalty will be given for each minute that passes by. If a player would like to sleep, they must hand their briefcase to their partner and may sleep on a bench in the train station. No teams received a time penalty during this stage.

Stage 4

Stage: Row Hard
Teams must canoe 10 miles through the Spree River to their next checkpoint.

Stage 5

Stage: Coded Entrance
Teams must complete a puzzle using pieces found in their briefcases. Upon completing their puzzle, they will gain access to the Olympic Stadium where they must run eight laps, the equivalent of two miles, around the track.

Upon completion of the final stage TJ totaled the three teams times and announced the final results.
