The Algorithm is a twist introduced on The Challenge: USA 1 where partners are randomly assigned following each elimination. It ensures that players never have the same partner twice until it is no longer possible, then they will not have the same partner twice in a row.

Prior to the "Down to Do the Math" challenge, players picked their own partners. The teams for the following challenges were picked by the Algorithm. The Algorithm was used once again in the Final Challenge. All teams are listed in alphabetical order.
