The Challenge: All Stars 2 is the second installment in the All Stars series which features the return of 24 of the fiercest reality titans from the franchise's long history as they fight for the $500,000 prize. The season was filmed in the Cancún, Mexico in August 2021.
Description[]
After a widely successful first outing, the powerhouse series The Challenge: All Stars is returning for Season 2 on Thursday, Nov. 11. The 10-episode long season will drop weekly on Thursdays, exclusively on Paramount+.
Hosted by TJ Lavin, this all-new season welcomes back 24 of the fiercest reality titans from the hit franchise's long history, including some who haven't competed in more than 20 years.
With past relationships that run deep and competitive streaks that never die, they will have to overcome the obstacles both in and out of the game to take home the win.
Returning for a chance to win the ultimate competition, the players will face unprecedented, over-the-top challenges and vie for their shot at the $500,000 prize.
Format[]
Players will compete as pairs, teams, or individuals. The winning players will have all the power. The last-place finishers will head to the Arena. In team challenges, the teams will pick two representatives. The winning representatives will earn immunity, while the losing representatives will go into the Arena. The winners will nominate four players (two men, two women) for the Arena. The rest of the house will then vote in one man and one woman into the Arena. The winners in the Arena will stay in the game, while the losers are eliminated. In Episode 6, the game turned into a pairs game. The format remained the same, only now players are tied to their partners.
In the Final Challenge, four pairs will compete, and the prize splits as follows.
- Winners: $500,000 ($250,000 each)
Twists[]
- Lifeshield: The winners of the elimination will hold the Lifeshield. They could use the Lifeshield if they placed last in the next challenge or use it to save one of the nominees picked by the winners.
- If the Lifeshield is used when the holder places last, they will select a replacement player.
- If the Lifeshield holder decides to save a nominee, the winners must choose an immediate replacement.
- Pairs: Prior to the "Deep Dive" challenge, the remaining players split into eight pairs. After the challenge ended, TJ revealed that the partner they chose for the challenge will be their partner for the remainder of the game. The format remained the same, only now the players are tied to their partners.
