The Challenge: All Stars 1 is the first installment of the All Stars series. This season features the return of 22 of the most memorable and recognizable names of The Challenge as they fight for a share of $500,000. The season was filmed in the Andes Mountains of Argentina in February 2021. This is the first season to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
Description[]
In a brand new limited series, twenty-two of the most iconic, boldest, and fiercest Challenge All Stars from the original The Real World and Road Rules return for a second chance at the ultimate competition as they vie for their shot at the $500,000 grand prize.
Hosted by TJ Lavin, the nine-episode season will follow competitors as they face unprecedented, over-the-top challenges set in the Andes Mountains of Argentina.
The Paramount+ original series welcomes back many of the greatest reality titans the franchise has ever seen, including some who haven't competed in more than two decades.
Format[]
Each challenge will be played as either pairs, teams, or as individuals. In individual, the winning player of the designated gender will win safety, while the opposite gender will win the Lifesaver. During team challenges, each team will nominate two team captains. The winning captains will each receive power. The winning captain of the gender designated for the elimination Arena will be safe from elimination, while the captain of the opposite gender will receive the Lifesaver. The losing captain or the last-place player will go into elimination, and the rest of the house will vote in their opponent. In the Arena, the player with the Lifesaver can choose to nullify the house vote. If used, the house will have to vote in their replacement. If not used, the two players will compete in elimination. The winner stays in the game while the loser goes home.
After four eliminations, the Lifesaver will no longer be in play. All eliminations going forward are played as pairs. Both captains that place last will compete as a pair, then the house will vote one player into the Arena. That nominated player will then select a player of the opposite gender to be their partner in the elimination.
In the Final Challenge, twelve players will compete. The prize money splits as follows:
- Winner: $500,000
Twists[]
- One Winner: One player, no matter the gender, will be crowned Challenge Champion.
- Lifesaver: The winning captain of the gender not designated for the Arena will have the choice to save the house vote from competing in elimination. If they choose to save the nominee, they will revote another contestant to take their place.

Final Challenge Scoreboard[]
In this season of The Challenge: All Stars, the Final Challenge will be played in a series of checkpoints. The first pair to complete each checkpoint receives 5 points each; second receives 4 points; third receives 3 points; fourth receives 2 points; fifth receives 1 point. After each checkpoint, members from the winning pair choose a player of the opposite gender (that they haven't already partnered with) as their partner for the next checkpoint. The process continues with the next-highest ranked players from the previous checkpoint choosing their teammate from the remaining unpaired players. In the final stage, players will compete as individuals, and it will be worth double points.
